Marvin Oka is a highly sought after international consultant, coach, speaker, and thought leader specialising in Neuro-Behavioural Modelling — the applied discipline of modelling excellence in human behaviour and change. His work spans leadership development with individuals and teams, strategic-systemic-cultural transformation, and inner work coaching for personal evolution. In addition to his consulting and coaching work with organisations worldwide, Marvin is dedicated to developing change agents of all kinds — leaders, coaches, consultants, and facilitators — in the advanced methods and principles of transformational change.

Recognised as a world leader and authority in his field, Marvin has built an impressive track record over the last 40 years helping organisations and leaders working within dynamically complex business environments. Marvin’s clients range from private enterprises to government agencies throughout Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, North America, Europe and the Middle East.

Marvin’s professional background is in an innovative and groundbreaking field known as ‘Neuro-Behavioural Modelling’. This exciting field examines various forms of human talent, ability and expertise, and then seeks to create models and methods to replicate these forms of superior performance in others. Neuro-Behavioural Modelling is essentially a ‘behavioural change’ technology that can be applied to dramatically improve human performance in the areas of thinking skills, emotional intelligence, physical skills, and overall ways of being (character development).

Marvin’s consulting and coaching abilities are unique in that he is the only Neuro-Behavioural Modelling practitioner in his field specialising in the related areas of leadership, organisational culture shaping, leadership communications, strategic thinking, and systemic change. He is only one of five people in the world to be recognised by his peers with the rare title of ‘Certified Master Behavioural Modeller’. Additionally, Marvin was also one of the first five people to achieve the accredited status of a ‘Certified NLP Master Trainer’ in the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and at that time was the youngest to ever have reached this level of professional competency.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii and now living in Australia since 1987, Marvin is one of the founding Directors of the International NLP Trainers Association (INLPTA) based in Washington, DC, and with representation in over 42 countries worldwide. Marvin is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Honolulu Executives Association (HEA), a past Executive Director of Maxxum International Training and Research Pty. Ltd., and currently is Executive Director of Behavioural Modelling Research Pty. Ltd.

Marvin’s consulting and coaching work involves the facilitation of strategic conversation and strategy development, leadership team development, executive and leadership coaching, organisational culture shaping, leadership communications, organisational development and neuro-behavioural modelling projects. Just some of Marvin’s clients include Lotus-IBM Asia Pacific, BHP-Billiton (Coal and Tax), the Australian Taxation Office, the John Holland Group, Fiat Chrysler, Spotlight Retail Group, ICI (now Orica), Telstra, Carlton United Breweries, Unilever, Suncorp, MLC Insurance, Food Innovational Australia Limited (FIAL), Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC), National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank, ANZ bank, Warner Music Australia, Salmat-Salesforce, Estee Lauder, Victoria University, Oz Child, Changi Airport (Singapore), SAP Asia-Pacific, Saudi Water Conversion Corporation, Melbourne University-Victorian College of the Arts Film & Television School, and many others.

Abu Dialogue’ (an international leadership conference in India sponsored by the Brahma Kumaris, a non-governmental affiliation of the United Nations and seven times winner of the UN Peace Prize). He is also in high demand as a ‘trainer’s trainer’ at international NLP Trainers Trainings, and is responsible for having created many NLP based training and presentation techniques that have become industry standards throughout Australia and the rest of the world.

Marvin was listed in 2006 as one of the Top 15 Corporate Keynote Speakers for the prestigious Saxton Speakers Bureau, as voted by their top corporate, government and industry clients, and in 2011 was awarded the honour of ‘Consultant of the Year’ by Polson and Co., a leading consultant and training brokerage firm.

Additionally, Marvin was on the Learning and Leadership Advisory Group for the Australian Futures Project, a multi-sector, non-profit and non-partisan initiative hosted by LaTrobe University focused on developing the political leadership capabilities of Parliamentarians for the future of Australia.
